Christine ~ Bobble Head Babes
The Continuing Saga…
Christmas is over and the New Year is just around the corner.
What are your goals for the new year. I don’t set resolutions because they are usually unattainable. I set goals. Remember when you set a goal it has to be measurable, time bound, attainable and realistic. Don’t set a goal to run in the Boston Marathon in 2014 if you’ve never run a marathon or even a half.
My goals revolve around writing and advertising. My first goal is to finish Sweet Misbehavin’ by the middle to the end of January. This is realistic because I’ve written five and one half chapters and it will only be ten to eleven chapters. I’m hoping it will be close to or over 60,000 words.
I’d like to read and review at least one new book, non Rogue Phoenix, a month. I’ve two new books on my kindle and ready to read.
Any suggestions for good books?
Measurable: pertaining to books, chapters, pages or word count would be measurable
Time bound: How many months do you plan to take to accomplish your goal?
Attainable: think about it, is it something you have done before? Would you have to challenge yourself to made the deadline? Do you have the time to put into accomplishing this goal? And myriad of other questions.
Realistic: Can you write a book? Or is it just a dream you’ve put in the back of your mind for years?
What are your goals for 2014. It’s going to be a great year.
