“Ready to get rich?” Joan slunk over to her. They stood in the shadows of streetlights.

“I was fine,” Camille stated. “When this is over, we’ll be even. If you breathe a word of my involvement to anyone, I’ll blow the two of you so far out of the water, you’ll never see the light of day again.”

“Geez, Camille. Lighten up. We’re going to cut you in fairly,” Missy interjected. “It’s not like we’re killing the guy.”

Joan frowned. “I never knew you had a ruthless side.”

Camille scoffed. “People change when they’re pushed over the edge.”

Chitchat was interrupted by the sound of voices. A small gathering of clubgoers had just exited the building and were headed toward their vehicles.

“It’s go-time.” Joan gave a nod. “Assume your positions.”

Camille rolled her eyes. Joan acted as if she were a commando issuing orders to an entire troop. She strolled to the other side of her car and watched as Missy meandered toward a very tall, dark haired man walking off alone.

She inwardly questioned whether she’d brought a strong enough dose to take down such a musclebound male. He didn’t look like an easy target. Even through his tight-fitting t-shirt, she could see the rippling abs and broad chest. His biceps were huge.

Where am I going to stick the needle? He’s pure muscle.
