Source: craftily-ever-after.blogspot.com via Chris on Pinterest The house is freezing for the third day in a row and will most likely be the same tomorrow. The tile guys are here again and finishing the tile and the backsplash. Still can’t find handles and knobs for the cabinets so we’re off to IKEA again on Thursday. Geez, it’s been so busy. I never knew that remodeling […]
Power Outage
Source: google.co.uk via Vicky on Pinterest It never ceases to surprise me how much I depend on electricity and how much at a loss I feel when I have none. Yesterday the power went out at about 9:00 AM. We were told a car hit a power pole and the estimated time the power would resume was about 11:30. Okay I can deal with that. […]
Almost forced to go to plan B
I slammed on my brakes. The first deer dashed across the road. I knew there would be more but it was so dark and rainy I couldn’t see. I barely missed the second deer but when I saw the third one I knew I would hit it. The car wasn’t slowing fast enough to miss. The guardian angel on my shoulder must have sent out […]
One little Angel
Source: goodlightscraps.com via Chris on Pinterest My husband and I have the pleasure of babysitting one of our little angels for the last three days. She is such a pleasure and a joy. Tomorrow looks like a pretty easy day. Teaching transformations and fractions and will enjoy seeing my colleagues at Stayton High tomorrow. I’ll […]

Off to Ikea this morning to finish off a 2 year project. (remodeling my kitchen) Wow I cannot believe it has taken this long. Yesterday I had my first tea from my insta hot fixture on my new sink. I guess one could say it takes baby steps. I was determined to pay cash for every purchase. Success. Next week the floor people will be […]

Minnette gives us some interesting insight into her characters DISECTING THE ID – THE GLADIATOR PRINCE Christine challenged me with some very interesting questions about my protagonists and they really made me think; what DO I really know about my protagonists? Vacations
About a month ago my husband and I flew into Philadelphia on the wings of Irene. I’d like to say it wasn’t scary but after all the hype about this monster storm, I could say that, yes, I was worried. I’ve never flown in fog before so when we started our decent and visibility was a whomping big zero, I told myself they would have […]
