INTERVIEW:

What or who inspired you to start writing? Mts. McCarthy my tenth graded English teacher insisted we write a journal at least 3 days a week
What expertise did you bring to your writing? Firsthand knowledge, common sense, reality.
4. What would you want your readers to know about you that might not be in your bio? I am a great listener and come of the most unpleasant experience can have a bright side.
5. As far as your writing goes, what are your future plans? I would like to complete the other two books I started.
6. If you could be one of the characters from any of your books, who would it be and why? Sabrina Duncan who was one of Charlie’s Angels. She was pretty, smart, witty and always figured out how to conquer the criminal. Most of all she was a leader.
7. If you were the casting director for the film version of your novel, who would play your leading roles? My niece BJ because she has many of my characteristics.
8. Do you belong to a critique group? Not officially If so how does this help or hinder your writing? I have a few people that I throw ideas to and value their honesty.
10. What is the best and worst advice you ever received? Writing advice (Best) it was great subject and needful (Worst) people don’t like to talk about the subject of death and may not be opened to discuss until needed. (Regarding writing or publishing) (Worst) publishing was that it is very expensive to publish.
11. Do you outline your books or just start writing? I generally create an outline and it also depends on the subject.
12. Do you have any hobbies and does the knowledge you’ve gained from this carry over into your characters or the plot of your books? Yes, I have several hobbies and one of my favorite hobbies iscollecting plastic cups with different logos. There is a dual purpose (1) I also do graphics and desktop publishing and the various fonts, colors, and designs provides my creative mind ideas (2) collecting the cups relates to the book because I pay very close attention to detail especially with such a sensitive subject. This allows me to give clients more options when planning for the remains of the deceased.

13. Do you have an all-time favorite book? Yes,The Bluest Eye, Tony Morrison
14. Have you started your next project? Yes,If so, can you share a little bit about your book? Yes
15. Who is your favorite actor and actress? Actor- Kevin Hart Actress-Loretta Devine
16. Can you tell us a little about the black moment in your book? Yes, June 8, 2019, a phone call early on a Saturday Morning changed my life. So many thoughts about what I was going to do, but no thoughts about “what the person was going through” such a contrast.
17. What is your favorite reality show? The Have and The Have Nots
18. Can you tell us a little bit about what it was like to write a series?I have not written a series
19. Anything else you might want to add? I am very passionate about this subject and other spin off projects from writing this book because this topic is unavoifdable and I want to help people prepare as best as possible.

I started out with my name as I called myself as a young child: Marsha Lynette Booker Bear. By the way the Bear was attributed from my little black and white panda, my buddy, as a young child. I also remember stating my name as Marsha L Dot Booker because that’s the way I learned my name.

I didn’t have to say the whole name, but I had to remember to put the do

t behind the L. As a child I guess I didn’t know that was how you wrote your middle initial.

Then, I remember writing down, “But she loved to be called Lynn.”

Now, why is any of this important? Believe it or not, I realized, how would anyone know what I wanted unless I write it down?
